Southern Brazil Flooding

Heavy rain began over southern state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil on April 29, 2024, dumping nearly six inches (15 cm) in 24 hours. Rain continued through the following days, killing at least 29 people and displacing almost 10,000 across the region.
