Hurricane Priscilla

Hurricane Priscilla was the sixteenth named storm of the 2025 eastern Pacific hurricane season.

Priscilla formed as a tropical storm on October 4, 2025, being upgraded to a hurricane the next day.

Priscilla moved northward parallel to the western coast of Mexico, where it brought bring heavy rainfall, tropical storm-force winds, and large sea swells to west-central Mexico and the Baja California peninsula.

As Priscilla dissipated and moved over land, it’s remnant moisture drenched the southwest US, triggering flooding alerts across the region. Combined with the remnants of Tropical Storm Raymond, many locations in the desert southwest saw multiple months worth of rainfall.
