West Coast Winter Solstice Storms

A large low pressure system started out in the Eastern Pacific, bringing heavy rainfall to the west coast.

As it moved onshore, it developed numerous storms while crossing the western US, as well as creating the winter weather conditions necessary for some to experience a White Christmas.

Description:

The system off the coast of Southern California continues to bring heavy rain to the region.

Description:

A Pacific storm off the West Coast will bring heavy to excessive rain to coastal southern California for the next few days. Heavy snow is also expected on the higher peaks of the Sierra Nevada and San San Bernardino County mountains.
