Tropical Cyclone Vince

Tropical Cyclone Vince formed on February 1, 2025, off the northwestern coast of Australia. The storm moved over the open waters of the Indian Ocean in a general westward track.

On February 6th, after a period of rapid intensification, the storm had maximum one-minute sustained winds of 155 mph (250 km/h) and a central pressure of 923 hPa, making it the most intense February cyclone in the basin since reliable records began.
