Early on July 19th, 2023, a series of storms brought torrential rains to portions of Western Kentucky. The storms brought catastrophic flooding, particularly to Graves County. The storms likely set a new statewide 24-hour precipitation record as 11.28 inches of rain fell near Mayfield, Kentucky.
