On August 30, 2024, GOES-19 sent back its first views of Earth after launching into orbit on June 25.
On October 1, 2024 GOES-19’s ABI instrument was given the “beta” declaration and imagery is now available to the public. During the beta phase, GOES-19 data is preliminary and non-operational.
