Southern Plains Tornado Outbreak

Following an outbreak of thunderstorms and tornadoes across the Central Plains, the Southern Plains have been under threat of severe storms and supercells this week.

Across states like Texas and Oklahoma, severe weather has fired up along frontal boundaries and the dryline nearly every day, with some leading to the formation of strong tornadoes.

In Oklahoma, a couple of unique tornadoes spawned in the southwest region of the state, featuring one that seemingly did a “u-turn”, as well as a dangerous anticyclonic tornado.

Storm season isn’t expected to taking a break soon, as severe weather is in the forecast everyday through the middle of next week for the central and southern plains.
