Hurricane Kiko
Hurricane Kiko was a major hurricane in Eastern Pacific.
Kiko formed August 31, 2025 in the far Eastern Pacific as a weak tropical storm. Three days later, Kiko strengthened into a powerful, Category 4 storm with maximum sustained winds of 145 mph (230 km/h). Kiko remained a major hurricane until September 7 when it weakened as it approached cooler water and harsher atmospheric conditions.
The storm brought large waves and dangerous rip currents to Hawaii as it skirted just north of island chain. Kiko weakened to a post-tropical cyclone on September 9 and dissipated entirely the next day.
