Tropical Storm Aletta

Tropical Storm Aletta formed southwest of Mexico in the eastern Pacific Ocean on July 4th, 2024.

It is the first named storm of the 2024 eastern Pacific hurricane season, as well as the latest start to the eastern Pacific tropical season on record.

Wind gusts of 40 mph were enough to make Aletta a tropical storm, but it quickly deteriorated back into a tropical depression.
