Lee Fire
The Lee fire ignited in western Colorado on August 2, 2025. Within the first few days, the fire steadily grew, scorching thousands of acres and prompting evacuations in the Western Slope. Around a week after it started, the fire surpassed 100,000 acres. Soon after, it became the fourth-largest wildfire in Colorado history.
As of October 6, 2025, the Lee fire sits at 137,758 acres and is 99% contained. Another nearby fire, the Elk fire, has burned 14,518 acres and is 100% contained. For more information on the Lee fire, visit the InciWeb page.
