Ileana was tropical storm in the eastern Pacific Ocean, forming just off the west coast of Mexico on Thursday, September 12th, 2024..
Tropical Storm Ileana brought heavy rainfall and tropical storm conditions to the southern Baja California peninsula, as well as the Los Cabos resort area on September 13th, 2024.
The next day on September 14th, 2024, Ileana made landfall along the coast of the Mexican state of Sinaloa, bringing additional rainfall and gusty winds.
After making landfall, Ileana was downgraded to a tropical depression as it experienced unfavorable atmospheric conditions and land interaction. Ileana continued to fall apart, becoming a remnant low in the Gulf of California on September 15th, 2024.
